Wedding Questions
Q: How have weddings worked in the past?
A: We have had weddings of all sizes and styles at Spirit Lake. Smaller events had the ceremony on the lawn using chairs or bales of straw for benches, held the reception inside the Lodge and their dance on the deck. Larger outdoor events rented their tent, tables and chairs using the Lodge for food preparation, the bridal luncheon, a place for the wedding party to dress, the reception buffet line, etc. Let your imagination run wild with possibilities.
Q: What facility accommodates a wedding/reception?
A: The Lodge with 2 large meeting/dining spaces, a commercial kitchen, a large party deck, and the lawn rolling to the lake's edge. We have additional facilities available for more overnight guests.
Q: What are your policies for alcohol?
A: You may bring your own alcohol and therefore assume the liability for you and your guests to follow Kansas Law - must be 21, drink responsibly, etc. No beer bottles in the grass as broken glass and bottle caps create hazards for guests and wildlife. We reserve the right to hold keys for guests that have over-consumed.
